my external hard drive is showing in finder but is not connected to my

I had an external hard drive connected to my mac. It is no longer connected but still shows in locations.

iMac 27″, macOS 11.2

A restart of your Mac should fix the issue. If you've already done a restart, reset the PRAM: Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac - Apple Support.
