I recently purchased an Apple Watch series 6 and I am not receiving stand notifications or my watch isn’t detecting I’m doing a workout/ walk etc. All notifications are selected correctly. Could this be a glitch with my watch? Thank you

Did you check thru the guidance here already?

Walk detection requires movement and waving of arms swiftly. I usually dont rely on that, although it seems to be clever enough to record the walking from the first step and not from the point when it alerts you. Easiest and most reliable is just to have the workout icon right on the watch face and use that directly. Automatic detection can be nice as a backup!
