If your iMac can run Sierra 10.12, then it can also run HighSierra 10.13.

Upgrading to a more current macOS version, will depend on the year model that you have.

Hiya, I have exactly the same question - iMac running macOS Sierra 10.12.6 (Mid 2014) no updates show when I click software update in “About this Mac”

Is it even possible to update.? Things are starting to not work including the App Store. Cheers in advance.

Thank you so much.!! I couldn’t find anything telling me I could jump to the latest version or how to do it.! This is perfect. I was concerned I’d need to go through all the versions, or that I wouldn’t be able to upgrade at all. Thanks again!

Back up your data, check your applications for compatibility, and depending on which iMac model you have, click on High Sierra, Catalina, or Big Sur.
