Hi there.
I am wanting to stop my Mac from automatically syncing with my iPhone but I would still like my Mac to sync with the cloud - I have a lot of photos on USBs that I want to transfer onto both my Mac and the cloud but I don’t want them on my iPhone..

If both your Mac and your phone are signed in to iCloud with the same Apple ID, they will sync to both iCloud and each other.
This is how iCloud is designed.
