Forgot firmware password

I forgot the firmware password to my MacBook air.

Hi yovanah,


Unfortunately, only Apple can remove the firmware password. You'll need to bring your Mac in to an Apple Store or an Apple Authorized Service Provider. Bring proof of purchase with you.


You can set up a hardware appointment by contacting Apple Support.

Yes, that's what the article I linked told you to do. I guess it required a mouse click to read it. ;-)
