All links are going to the reading list in Safari. How do I stop this happening? Previous answers to this question suggest selecting opening a reading list window in the preferences but that is not available on my operating system - Big Sur 11.2.3

iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.15

  1. Restart your Mac.

    Launch Safari holding the shift key down and test.


2 Startup in  safe mode to try to isolate the cause of the issue.

  • Select your account and login.
  • Test.

    To leave Safe Mode, click Apple logo   in the menu bar and choose “Restart”.
