How do I retrieve deleted texts?

If you have Messages turned ON in your iCloud settings, that means that messages are synced with iCloud and once you delete them from your device, they're also deleted from iCloud -- so no recovery possible.

If you do not have this setting turned on, then your only option is to restore your iPhone to the last backup, which hopefully was done before the message(s) was deleted and after it/they were received.

Restoring these:

Check the Messages app on your Mac, or restore your iPhone from a backup that contains these messages. Elsewise, they are gone. That's just the way it is :(
