Files being automatically put in trash

Why are files I never deleted being put in my trash? Crazy!

Hi Paulisalive,

There are two possible reasons:

  • If you run any cleaners, which you NEVER should, they might automatically go through your Mac and delete duplicates, etc.
  • It is also possible you accidentally dragged them in or hit "Move to Trash".

Monitor over the next few days, deleting any cleaners, i.e. CleanMyMac/Norton, and observe.

Cheers,

Jack
