Hi, I have an old but well maintained iphone 6+. I've recently noticed that I'm unable to delete apps - the small 'x' no longer appears when you do a long press. I've looked through settings and have been unable to find anything to remedy this. Many thanks for any help offered.

I think this applies to ios12...
If the delete option is not there, try this:
Settings, Screen Time, Content and Privacy Restrictions, iTunes and App Store Purchases, Deleting Apps, Allow “on”
or turn screen time completely off.
