Anyway to get my ipad battery status to show up on my iphone battery widget?

Your iPad Battery Widget will only show the battery status of some devices that are paired with the iPad - this also being the case for your iPhone.
However, if both the iPad and iPhone are signed-in to iCloud with the same AppleID - and the iPhone hotspot feature is enabled, you can see the battery status of your iPhone from your iPad WiFi settings page. Listed under My Networks will be all the WiFi networks that you can access - including your iPhone hotspot. The status icons for your iPhone include a battery graphic that shows the battery state of the iPhone.
