Move --not copy-- files from Mac to iCloud
All my files are in my iCloud. However, those files are *still* on my MacBook
air. The drive is getting awfully crowded. What can I do? Thanks.
MacBook Air 13″, macOS 11.2

You can try Optimizing Storage. Go to System Preferences/iCloud (Apple ID for Catalina or later) and in the iCloud Drive line, click Options. Then click Optimize Storage.

Thank you, Eric. It was already checked. I unchecked, then checked it again. Now, the system is downloading pictures, and music. I suppose that I should have checked on Apple's definition of "optimize."
