Recently I have purchased a Series 6 Apple Watch (first apple watch owned) and found out that it has a fitness app. I wanted to be able to have it on my phone and my watch. But when I go to download the application it says that something is missing on my phone and that it can not be supported on my device. But on the compatible list it states that the app should work on my device.
iPhone XR
Fitness app works on my XR. I don't recall having to install it. I thought it downloaded when I synced my watch the first time.
