Screensaver on My MacBook Pro

I am having a problem with screensaver using photos from my photo library. I am using a screensaver from a photo album I create as a memorial for my Mom and her sister who have passed recently. Since I updated to Big Sur 11.3, Some of the photo are reverting to the originals before editing them. The photos are fine when I view them in Photos. It is only when I use them as a screensaver that they revert to the originals before editing.

A workaround is to export the edited photos to a sub-folder in the Pictures folder. The point the screensaver to that folder in the System/Desktop & Screen Saver/Screensaver preference pane.
