Can I still update mid-2012 MacBook Pro

I am trying to install and use a 2020 TurboTax product on my mid-2012 MacBook Pro but the install will not go through because it says I need to be running a OSX of 10.14 or higher. I am currently running High Sierra OSX 10.13.6. Can I still upgrade to a newer OSX so that I can install TurboTax?

Thanks for your thoughts on this.

Back up your data, check your applications for compatibility, and click on Mojave or Catalina. Alternatively, use the online version of TurboTax in a web browser.
