I have a calculator photo vault that no longer works since the 14.5 update…How do I retrieve my photos?
They’ve been unresponsive to this point. I’ve never had this happen before, and all my other apps continue to open & work properly. The app that no longer works has photos & videos that I want to recover…Is replacing 14.5 iOS with an older software version as option?

I have a similar problem except it’s with My Media. After updating to 14.5 your new iOS system is telling me that My Media needs to be updated. Only problem is that it’s not in the App Store and I can’t contact the manufacturer. It’s always worked great until now. I have 1000’s of pics and vids stored in this app so this is very very upsetting. Can you help me open this App or change your iOS so I can continue using this wonderful App?
Take it up with the app developer. Apple can't do anything about it. The developer abandoned the app and failed to update it for compatibility with iOS 14.
You are not talking to Apple, by the way. This is a user forum.
I had the same issue and was able to extract my images through a tedious procedure. I discovered a Swiss app called iMazing and after carefully vetting it as a legit app downloaded it to my computer. It lets you create a backup of your iphone on your PC and gives you a windows style access to file folders. When you complete the backup, the main screen shows you your basic iPhone icons including one for Apps>Calculator+>Backup>Library>Data. This data folder seems to contain the actual files but they are all renamed to alpha numeric strings with .mov and _thumb extensions. Copy these to your desktop and rename them with a .jpg extension (eg Pic1.jpg, Pic2.jpg). Both the .mov and thumb files were my jpg files. I didn't have any videos stored, but I'm guessing you can make out which are videos by file size and then try the appropriate extension when renaming. I told you it's tedious, but at least you can get your stuff back. Unfortunately the trial version only gives you 10 free file downloads after which you have to buy the License for $49.99. Maybe there's a way to figure out where the data is stored on the PC to bypass that issue if you don't need all the other functionality that it provides. Hope that helps
Ask the app developer.
No. Downgrading iOS has never been supported.
