iPad is disabled

MY TWO YEAR OLD IPAD WAS NEVER SUCCESSFULLY LOADED. I KEEP GETTING "iPad is disabled. connect to iTunes. ?????????

Not able to turn on iPad. Saying “iPad disabled. Connect to iTunes” but when I connect to iTunes, I cant Find where to fix it.
