Left AirPod won’t connect

How do I fix my left AirPod won’t connect but my right one does

Had this a few times now and I’ve always solved by two steps. Make sure the metal band around the end is clean and put it in the case to ensure it has enough charge to function. Then go to Bluetooth settings on the device it’s not working with and remove. Do the reset process by holding the button on the AirPod case, and re add. Works for me every time.
