How can I send a message to one of my contacts that I can’t seem to do? I don’t have a problem on my Apple iPhone just on my new Apple iPad. I’ve tried everything. It tells me to go to messages-to iMessages but I don’t see that feature on my Apple iPad.

Perhaps you have not set up the iPad to forward text messages to your phone. The iPad cannot send SMS/MMS messages directly. They have to relayed through you phone.
