How do I use my second monitor to display a document that I don't want to open on my primary monitor? I want to use the 2nd monitor to fill in info from online searches on the primary monitor. I want to be able to drag files/documents from the primary monitor to the 2nd monitor.

Drag the document from the primary display to the secondary display, that is all you need to do.
