I have tried to change the credit card for Apple store with new one issued from Bank of Maldives. I was not able to add the new card. Pls advise how to tackle this.

Are you using the Maldives App Store/iTunes Store? You need a valid credit card issued by a bank in the country the store is in and you need a billing address in that country. 


Log into your account in the App Store/iTunes and you should be able to change/verify it there. Or you can click the blue Edit payment methods in the article below. When signed in and the page loads, you will be on the credit card page. After updating that, click the Go Back button at the lower left and you will be on the address page. If you have a subscription, you need to add the new card, and then promote it to the primary payment method before you can remove the old card.

You are welcome. There is a Maldives Store.


App Store, iTunes Store, and Apple Books availability.     


If you want to use that credit, you have to switch to that store.


You need a zero account balance and you need to cancel all your subscriptions. If you have cancelled all subscriptions, but some haven’t expired, contact iTunes Support. You need a valid credit card issued by a bank in the country the store is in and you need a billing address in that country. If you have an account balance, either buy something more expensive and pay the balance with a credit card or contact iTunes Support and ask them to zero balance your account.


Purchases - View, change, or cancel your subscriptions.        


Purchases - Subscriptions not billed through Apple

Region - Change your iTunes Store, iBooks Store, or App Store country or region.

Thanks for your prompt response.


I did not know that there is a separate "Maldives App Store/iTunes Store?". Did not know that this is country based. Appreciate if I will be required to change to "Maldives App Store/iTunes Store?" in addition to the changes to the payment methods you have recommended to do. Pls advise if "Maldives App Store/iTunes Store?" settings needs to be changed as well and if this is required to be done, pls advise How do I do that?
