MacBook Pro battery charging
The battery charge indicator on the home screen of my MacBook Pro 15 is black with a white line around the symbol and does not charge the MacBook at all. Although it seems to hold the % level of charge constant.

If the battery in your 2016 or 2017 MacBook Pro won't charge past 1%—
The battery health status on these devices will also indicate "Service Recommended."
