how to find iPhone while it being off

What stedman1 said is for sure true but you might be able to get lucky.

When turning off location services on my iPhone I saw the following warning.

I am not sure about it saying “Find My iPhone” vs “Find My” but maybe it will show here without a location to let you mark it as lost. https://www.icloud.com/find

If not, this has additional steps for you to secure the device and sleep possible replacement.

There is no magic way to find it. You will need to search for it as you would any other inanimate object.
