I am running Big Sur OSX 11.3.1 on my Mac Mini (Late 2014) all running fine. I have today attempted to update to OSX 11.4 which was offered in the last few days. It hangs when preparing the down load at 15mins tried it twice with the same result.
Startup in Safe Mode and try again.
