Where are my old files after migrating from an old to a new Mac?

iMac, OS X 10.11

If you used Migration Assistant rather than migrating during Setup Assistant then MA created a new user account. Log out of your normal user account and you will find the new user account, that's where your files are.


Had you used the migration function during SA the new user account would not have been created.
