My message screen has one of my contacts shown at the top where the conversations are. I’m not RC and cannot understand why my phone is showing his initials and when I want to message him, I have to click on his initials, whereas anyone else, I simply go to their contact. I’ve powered down my phone and have restarted it. Please help! I’m including a pic of what my screen looks like.

You pinned him. Hold your finger on the icon and choose “unpin” from the floating menu that appears.

It looks like you have pinned your conversation with RC.
Press and hold on the icon and select "unpin" to unpin it.
