tracks on top of each other

Why is iMovie putting two audio tracks on top of each other? It won't allow me to add them consecutively.

Drag track 2 to the endpoint of track 1.

If that doesn’t work open iMovie while holding down the Option and Command keys and select to delete preferences in the box that appears. Then reopen your original library to get back to your projects.
