Apple TV Library - Missing Titles

Apple TV Library issues... Since upgrading my system from iTunes to Apple TV my video library has mysteriously begun to vanish over time. My Apple purchases are still secure, but my older library of DVD tiles that I own has shrunk to about 1/3 of its original size... What's really strange is that I can browse through the titles using the App and everything looks OK on my Mac. Where I caught this was when I tried to watch a movie in our family room Apple TV device and a particular title didn't show up... I returned to my Mac to make sure everything was OK and found it available on my computer... but when I tried to locate it on our family room Apple TV it was missing. I performed restarts of all our hardware and still had no luck. After checking everything again I found that the Apple TV app on my Mac was showing all the title work for the movies we owned, but most of the actual files for them were missing in the external directory. (this is what I determined to be causing the title mismatch on our Apple TV devices) That's when I began browsing the external hard drive where our files are kept and found most of my library missing... Luckily our entire library is backed up so we didn't loose any data, but for the life of me I don't know why this is happening?!?!? The odd thing is - I could still play the movies on my computer - but not any other device! It appears that the software is trying to organize the movie files and slowly deleting certain files while reaching out to my second external backup directory for movie requests made while using my Mac. But when when we try to watch on another device 90% of the titles listed are gone and the Apple TV hardware either says there's a problem playing the file or the entire title is missing from the menu of available selections. I've spoken to Apple Techs on three different occasions in which they were able to to help me re-import my collection but it seems that after several days the files go eventually go missing... Is there something I've missed or has anyone else found this to be an issue??? AppleTV Duplicate Movies Hi all, Had a search on Google and Communities and can't quite find anybody who had a similar problem to this. Any help would be appreciated! I purchased The Terminator from AppleTV today as it was on sale, what I stupidly forgot to do was delete an existing entry for The Terminator that I had in my library - a backup version that was imported with the use of Iflicks. The backup movie ended up in the Trash, but the artwork is still visible in my library and I can't delete it. And if I click on Get Info, it seems to think it is now the purchased copy of the Terminator (I know because it lists Extras). If I click play on it it won't play. There is no option to download. I select Delete from Library and nothing happens, and if I go back to the trashcan and right click on the deleted movie file, it won't do anything when I select Put Back. The problem is I now have the Apple TV purchased version of The Terminator and a non-working entry of the same film. I've tried using the Time Machine to restore backups of the Itunes folder, but to no avail. Also tried closing Apple TV and reopening it. I get the feeling there is a duplicate entry in some table related to Apple TV, and all it needs is for this line to be deleted, but I haven't a clue what I'm doing anymore, and my OCD is now on overdrive. I'm on an iMac late 2013 which I use as an entertainment display & it works fine otherwise. Any help would be most appreciated. Help! :-)

MBP Monterey & TV+ = Spinning Beachball of Death Using TV+ on a 2021 MBP with Monterey is so unreliable. I purchased a couple of TV seasons and downloaded all programs. The files are stored locally and played the first few programs fine ... but Each time I reopen TV+ to view the further programs I get a spinning beachball of death. The only way to fix this is to end task and restart TV+, then delete the file that I attempted to play and redownload the files. The files are fine (downloaded from the Apple store several times). It seems to be an annoying bug that makes TV+ on a MBP an unpleasant experience. Any idea what this is and how to fix it? I'd previously given up on iTunes movies a few years back, and I normally now buy my movies and TV shows thru Amazon Prime and Google Play because Apple's TV+ is such a bad experience (no android app for my 2019 Sony TV, playback on MBP is inconvenient and unreliable) ... but unfortunately the show that I downloaded is only available thru Apple so I had to chance it. The current issue just serves to remind me how bad that service is.
