Water damage
My iPhone got a few droplets of water in the lightning port of my I phone. I let it dry for 6 hours and I’m not getting the notification anymore but it still won’t charge.

Let it dry out some more and see this:
About splash, water, and dust resistance of iPhone 7 and later Â
