What SCSI drives can I use for my vintage Macintosh Plus

I recently got a working Macintosh Plus off of craigslist and have upgraded the ram to the full 4Mb but I still find the need to swap disks regularly a pain. I was considering purchasing a vintage external hard drive but they are expensive and tend to fail. Because of that, I decided I should purchase a normal SCSI drive and build a small case to house it. I know that I can use general off-the-shelf drives but I am also aware that there are certain limitations. I'm not sure what those limitations are so I've come here to ask about SCSI drive compatibility with a Macintosh Plus.

You’re going to be trying pretty much any working SCSI HED that you can find, both to find if it really does work, and if it’s sufficiently compatible. SCSI is like that, particularly the further back you go. And the Mac SCSI here arrived before SCSI-1, so it’s going to be mostly-kinda-sorta SCSI-1, maybe.
