Restore

Iphone 11 was disabled so has been restored. It’s asking for a passcode but the usual one and default 1234 is not working - any ideas?

Iphone 11 password not working & restore device seems to have failed as well I've just checked and noticed there was an update , I tapped to download and install , there was a prompt to enter my passcode . I did so and it's not accepting it as my password. I've used the same passcode on y last few iPhones so I'm quite puzzled right now . I've tried plugging into the laptop for a restore but after a while it came back to the 'iPhone has been disabled for 1 hour' screen. Does anyone have any suggestions ?

Thanks - We’ve followed all the steps to restore but it’s asking for passcode but not accepting it - it’s a brand new phone received yesterday, disabled itself today so we had to restore
