My AOL stopped coming through yesterday around 3 p.m. on all my devices. I can get on the AOL app or AOL with my password. I don’t like their format. No problem with Gmail on the envelope. Says no password provided for AOL. It is there. I have erased it and retyped it to no avail. How to I get it to download my emails again.

In common with many other Mail providers, AOL now use App Specific Passwords to access IMAP or POP3 mailboxes.
The Mail App on each of your devices, such as your iPad, requires a unique password to be generated from within the AOL account. This App Specific password intentionally differs from your AOL account password - and can only be used to access your AOL mail.

You may need to use specific app password to use the account, confirm by contacting AOL or looking at their support site.
