I have an older HD TV that is working fine and to which I'd like to add Apple TV. Will the Apple TV 4K work with a HD 1080P for normal HD video? I do not need 4K support at this time but am thinking of the future when my current HD TV will be upgraded to 4K.
I couldn't find the answer in the documents on the website.

Yes, that will work fine. The output resolution of the box will adapt to the capabilities of the TV during setup. Resolution is configurable from 640×480 to 3840×2160, and several settings in between, including 1080p.
