What does the orange light in the corner of my iPhone during calls means?

When I use the phone to make phone calls, an orange light appears in the top corner. What does that mean

It means the microphone on your phone is being used. When you hang up the call, the orange light will go out. You will also see a green light in the same location when you use the camera on your phone.
