Using Apple Music transfer imported music to iPhone instead of iTunes

Is there a way to put imported songs on your iPhone using Apple Music? There is no more iTunes on the new Mac. I have imported all my old music from iTunes to Apple Music, but when I go to Apple Music, right click a song that has been imported, there is no option to send it to the iPhone. Do I need to download iTunes again or am I missing something?

Not the way you are thinking. I have two iMacs, two iPhones and an iPad mini and they all share the same Apple Music Library, so whatever songs are in the library on one shows up on the others also. Whether those songs were purchased from iTunes, added from Apple Music or added from another source (MP3 files, etc.)

You must select Sync Library in the Preferences in the Music App on your Mac and then go to Settings/Music on the iPhone to sync the libraries. BTW - both devices must be on the same Apple ID for this to work.

Hi.

Using the new Music app requires you to sync from Finder rather than the Music app.

Connect your iPhone to your Mac. In Finder, your iPhone should pop up in the menu on the left side of the window. Once you select your iPhone, you'll see the similar sync functions that you were used to with iTunes.

Sometimes it takes several seconds to "load" everything, but once it does you'll see all the familiar menus and tools that you used to sync in iTunes.

Hope this helps.

Best,

Chuck
