does this backup my photo's also

when I do a back up of my iphone do the pictures get backed up also

Go to Settings/[your name]/iCloud. If the switch for Photos is ON then photos are not included in the backup, but they will be synced to iCloud and to any other devices logged in to iCloud.

If the switch is OFF the photos will be included in an iCloud backup (which is not the same as syncing to iCloud) and to an computer backup.
