How to re-activate my Function Key (aka Change Language key)

My Function/Change Language key often disable (not working when I press to change written language) after using the mac for a few hours. I can fix the situation by restarting the mac but it's very inconvenience.

I think I might accendentially press (in short-cut) something to turn it off. Can you please help to advise on how can I turn it on without restarting my mac?

Thanks

This has been discussed in several threads.

AFAICT, you do not need to restart. Using an alternative method to switch to a different input source (like control-space) supposedly restores the functionality of the change language key.
