Bluetooth trackpad won’t allow finger swipe gestures on IPad Pro

I have a Bluetooth trackpad I’d used on my old MacBook Pro. I now have it synced to my IPad Pro, but two finger scrolling and three finger gestures won’t work. I can only move the cursor and click. Is it just too old of a trackpad model?

iPadOS provides full support for the [current] Apple Magic Trackpad 2 and Magic Mouse 2.

  • Magic Mouse 2 - Silver

The original versions of both are not properly supported by iPadOS. As such, if your trackpad is not a Magic Trackpad 2, you are likely to encounter difficulties.
