I backed up text messages on icloud. My icloud is full and I want to delete the text messages that were backed up. If I do this, will it delete the text messages on my phone as well? I want to keep them on my phone, but delete them on icloud.

If you sync them to icloud - if you delete from one it will delete from the other.
if you back up to icloud - it backs up the data that is currently on your device.
