How much memory is available?

I seem unable to add more memory; my mac seems to have a limit I can't exceed.

iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.15

I take it you mean adding extra RAM memory to your mac.

Depending on which iMac 21.5 you have you probably cannot

add/ upgrade the RAM memory.
