time machine will not unmount
I am trying to run First Aid to recover 4TB of drive space from a previous Time Machine backup. the error message states that it will not unmount

Also, not a good idea removing Snap Shots from the TM Drive. It just results in have to does as you did - Wipe the Drive and start again.
