Modifying Time Machine backup

I'm setting up a new Time Machine backup because... well, because *curses watchdog errors*

It's underway at the moment, and I was wondering if the backup is fixed? As in, when Time Machine prepares the backup it has that amount to backup there (961.73GB) - if I delete some files while it's backing up, will those deleted files also be backed up or will that first backup still have those files?

Once TM has completed a full backup it will contain any file you delete later. The next new incremental backups after you delete the file will not
