Updates to series 1 watch

I have a series 1 Apple Watch that indicates iOS 6.3 “up to date” no newer updates listed and third party app requires iOS 7 or greater. Is there a way to make watch update or is this model obsolete?

Series 1 apple watch will NOT update past WatchOS6,so your 3rd party app will be incompatible with that model of watch.
