I am trying to copy files from one USB drive to another. Everytime I run into this error for the second file and won't move forward.

Good work my friend, if you need to use it for Macs and Windows, then the drive needs to be erased/formatted to ExFAT.

Could the one drive be FAT32 format that only allows 2-4 GB sized files?

Thanks I just checked the info on my drive and it is fat32 now that explains why it keeps giving me errors.
Yeah immediately used disk utility to do that.
