iPhone 12 backup

I have 50gb iCloud storage and trying to back up my new iPhone 12 and keep saying I don’t have enough storage. I’m only using 30gb on this phone. Why does it keep saying I don’t have enough storage

There's a difference between the storage on your phone and iCloud storage. Go to:

  • Settings > Your Name, iCloud, Media & Purchases
  • Tap iCloud
  • It will show how much space you have used in iCloud
  • If you are low in iCloud storage, which is likely, this is why your phone is saying you don't have enough storage to backup your phone. You will want to upgrade your iCloud Storage plan. This link tells you how --> Upgrade or downgrade your iCloud storage - Apple Support
