Move existing Contact to a Group

I’d like to be able to travel with my iPad Pro and need to be able to move existing Contacts to a new or existing Group to do so. How do I do that? I’ve tried the way I do it on my MacBook Pro but that doesn’t work.

Thank you in advance for any help!

Hi Kaklop,

Welcome to the Apple Community.

Apple support has helpful articles online:

Sync contacts and calendars between your Mac and iPhone or iPad

https://support.apple.com/en-au/guide/mac-help/mchlf24d4e49/mac

iPad (iOS14) User Guide:

Lists "Contacts" under "Apps" but doesn't seem to mention Groups.

https://support.apple.com/en-au/guide/ipad/welcome/ipados

Wondering if you use iCloud ?

Use other contact accounts on iPad

NB. Tap Groups, then select the groups you want to see.

This button appears only if you have more than one source of contacts

Hope this helps you :)

Thank you brbo for your assistance! Those links are where I have already been and have combed through all of them. I found one that points to the correct area - about the 2nd paragraph (Add Contacts to a Group) explains exactly what I want to do, but it doesn’t work on my iPad Pro.

Is there a way to report this? I don’t think it’s me!!! OR my iPad.

Thanks again for any suggestions!
