200mb iCloud account

I have a 200mb family iCloud account, but my partner doesn’t want to have an Apple One family plan. If I choose to do an individual plan, would I loose my 200mb plan? Or, would I have to pay for the extra storage?

Yes. If your partner doesn't want to be part of the family and share his storage space, and he's the one paying for the extra storage, it goes with him.

If you have a free account, it only has 5GB os storage included. The bigger ones you must pay monthly.
