No, it does not. Have new Apple iPhone, put credentials with new two-step verification FIVE TIMES and it doesn't work - 'automatic' is apparently Apple-speak for 'doesn't work.' So there is no way to add the device using my Apple laptop

Log in to the device using your Apple ID credentials. The device will get automatically added to your account.

Does this work for a new iPhone too? I'm not seeing purchased music from my phone on my laptop.
