Airpods case and left airpod not charging

When i plug in my airpods with cable, it starts charging but after like 5 seconds the left airpod stops charging. The case also only charges to 1% and sometimes charges and uncharges like crazy. I have tried resetting them and cleaning the airpods and the case but nothing seems to work :(
