I want to transfer my phone photos directly from my phone to my pc. How do I do that?

I don't want to upload my private pictures to the cloud. I don't want the cloud to access any of my photos, data, notes, emails, etc. period. I just want to be able to transfer them to the hard drive on my computer. My pictures, my business. And I have no way of downloading my pics once they're in the cloud. Why do you make this so hard to figure out? Why do you want all my data in the cloud?
