I desperately need more room on my iPhone. If I delete all my photos and videos off my iPhone does it delete them out of my iCloud?
I want to keep them in my iCloud forever. I am willing to spend extra for iCloud memory to do that.

You can do that but be careful. iCloud is a synching service. If you delete photos from one device, they will be deleted on all devices and the cloud. It is safer to keep important photos on your computer or an external drive.

That was an amazing answer. Totally makes the internet explanations make sense. I will take the extra steps to back up all my photos first then to my laptop and a couple external hard drives I have.
